Norway’s Queen Sonja and Crown Princess Mette-Marit today paid a visit to Sandefjord in the south of Norway to help assist in the mission to become the cleanest city in the country.

After meeting with the Sandefjord Waste Clearing Team, the two royal ladies were given their own fluro vests to wear as they pitched in with the cleaning effort.

“It’s a wonderful initiative of the volunteers,” Crown Princess Mette-Marit said of the Team’s goal.

Afterward Sonja and Mette-Marit joined the volunteers for an afternoon tea of cinnamon buns, coffee and hot chocolate.
