A Concert at the Imperial Palace!

Members of the Imperial Family of Japan were out in force today to attend an annual Spring-time concert in the Music Hall of the Imperial Palace to watch graduates from five music colleges play.  Her Majesty Empress Michiko was joined by Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako, together with Their Imperial Highnesses, Prince Akishino, Princess Kiko and their two eldest children, Princesses Mako and Kako.

Other members of the Imperial House also attended and these were Their Imperial Highnesses Princess Hanako of Hitachi and Princesses Hisako and Ayako of Takamado.

As is usual for events such as this one, all the Imperial guests were conservatively dressed, with Empress Michiko wearing an elegant dark grey, caped outfit and Crown Princess Masako in a familiar cream outfit with matching hat.  The other princesses all chose their customery outfits in an array of Spring-like colours!
