Queen Elizabeth II was fabulous in fuchsia yesterday as she paid a visit to Lister Community School in east London.

The purpose of the visit was to meet with representatives of several charities that will receive a share of £22million over the next three years from The Queen’s Trust, which was set up by Prince Charles to celebrate the Silver Jubilee in 1977.

Lister Community School is one of the many organisations that has benefited from the Trust over the past 40 years. The Queen spent time speaking with their pupils, whose curriculum includes promoting gender equality and fostering good relations with peers. She also stopped by the science rooms.
