Frederik and Mary’s Third Day in Saudi Arabia
On their third and final day in Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary had a number of joint and solo events before finishing the day at a reception at the Danish Ambassador’s residence.
First, the couple were given a tour of the King Abdullah Financial District construction zone, which has a Danish architect behind its design.
Frederik then headed off to King Abdullah Center for Science and Technology, while Mary went her own way before lunch at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, visiting a playground and fitness area run by Danish company Kompan. Here, the Crown Princess was the star amongst the young girls playing on the equipment, with their mothers not far away taking snapshots to remember the moment.
In the afternoon Frederik and Mary together visited the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre. The Princess later stopped by the King Khalid Foundation, whose work focuses on violence against women and children.
The Crown Prince Couple will fly to Qatar tomorrow to continue their trip.
