Bhutan Rejoices Over Birth of The Gyalsey

The Queen of Bhutan has given birth to her first child, a son, today it was officially announced by the Royal Court.

“Our happiness knows no bounds, as we announce the Royal Birth of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey on 5th February 2016,” the statement began before saying that both Queen Jetsun Pema and the newborn Prince were both in good health.

The birth took place at Lingkana Palace, with King Jigme Khesar at his wife’s side for the duration.
