On Friday, it was another day spent in the capital with Joachim and Marie being given a tour of the city to highlight the architectural influence Denmark has had. They were given a tour of the new opera house Harpa that has been partly designed by Ólafur Eliasson, a Danish-Icelandic architect.
Prince Joachim praised the country and their architecture coupled with nature to the media, while Princess Marie said this was not the couple’s first visit to Iceland, that they have previously visited ‘under the radar’.
