Queen Máxima at the Horticultural Entrepreneur Award 2016

Today, Wednesday January 6, Her Majesty Queen Máxima had her first engagement of 2016 at the presentation of the Horticultural Entrepreneur Award 2016 in the flower park Keukenhof in Lisse.

This was the 30th edition of the award and theme this year was “Future proof business”. The winner was Ebben Nurseries, a producer of trees and other plants for the realization of green projects founded in 1862.

The award was established to honour the achievements of leading businesses in the Dutch horticulture sector and aims to highlight the most innovative companies in the industry. The winner receives a work of art, increase in their network and media coverage and the chance to be nominated for the prestigious King Willem I Prize and the AIPH, International Grower of the Year Awards.
