Bernadottes Attend Swedish Academy’s Annual Gathering
The Swedish Royal Family have attended the annual formal gathering of the Swedish Academy at the Stock Exchange in Stockholm.
Arriving slightly behind schedule due to a car blocking the street, the Bernadottes entered the celebration and sat in the royal box as members of the Academy – which determines the Nobel Prize for Literature – delivered speeches, read poems and announced this year’s ‘Memorial Money’ winner as author Birger Sjöberg.

All four Bernadotte women stuck to the darker hues of the colour wheel in their attire: Queen Silva chose chocolate brown, Crown Princess Victoria black velvet, Princess Sofia deep green and Princess Madeleine a deep blue-grey with a navy lace overlay.
