Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia Arrive In Värmland

For their first official engagement together, Prince Carl Philip and his wife Princess Sofia have visited Prince Carl Philip’s duchy of Värmland.

On the first day the couple inaugurated the Byamossarna Nature Reserve, of which they are both patrons. Carl Philip and Sofia also toured the reserve afterwards.

The next stop for Carl Philip and Sofia was Mårbacka. They visited Selma Lagerlöf’s home in Sunne. Selma Lagerlöf is a Swedish author who grew up in the Mårbacka area.

The first day ended with a dinner at Karlstad, the seat of Karlstad Municipality. They met with sixty guests.
