Victoriadagen Celebrated in Öland
Crown Princess Victoria has celebrated her 38th birthday with the annual Victoriadagen Concert at the Borgholm Sports Field, after spending over two hours receiving well-wishers in the courtyard of Solliden Palace.
Joined by her husband, Prince Daniel, and their daughter, Princess Estelle, as well as her parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, the birthday girl didn’t let the rainy afternoon dampen her – or anyone else’s! – spirits. The King led a round of birthday cheers, before the family mingled with the crowd.
As per usual, little Estelle stole the show, twirling around a pale blue umbrella (which matched her floral dress) to shield herself from the rain.
Then this evening, the whole Royal Family was in the front row for Victoria’s birthday concert, which had performances by Medina, Kristin Amparo, Ola Salo and Carola Häggkvist. During the concert, the winner of this year’s Crown Princess Victoria Fund scholarship – Sarah Sjöström – was presented with her award.
