Queen Letizia Attends Spanish Association Against Cancer Meeting

As the honorary president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), Queen Letizia today chaired a working meeting at their headquarters in Madrid.

During the meeting, the attendees designed the strategic plan of the AECC’s Scientific Foundation for 2014-2020. Several Spanish scientists, doctors and researchers provided their views on cancer research to the foundation, including some via videoconference from the United States, in order to assist in creating the plan.

Queen Letizia became the AECC Honorary President in 2010, and holds the same role in the association’s Scientific Foundation.
