The King and Queen of Spain tonight hosted a gala dinner at the Royal Palace in Madrid for the visiting Colombian President.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia posed with President Juan Manuel Santos Calderón and his wife María Clemencia Rodríguez for photographs before greeting the 110 dinner guests in the palace’s Throne Room. Among those attending the dinner were Spain’s Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and members of the Spanish government , as well as representatives of business, culture, arts and sports.
The Queen wore the column gown in grey lace she wore to the inauguration of King Willem-Alexander in the Netherlands, paired with the Spanish diamond floral tiara that was a wedding gift to Queen Sofia from the Spanish Government. She used her diamond Fleur de Lys brooch to anchor the sash of the Colombian Order of Boyaca.Filed under Spain
