The judge presiding over the NOOS trial in the courts of Palma de Mallorca has approved the sale of the Duke and Duchess of Palma de Mallorca’s Barcelona home.

Infanta Cristina and Iñaki Urdangarín, who are both set to face trial on charges of fraud and embezzlement, had to apply for permission to sell their multi-million Euro home in the exclusive area of Pedralbes. This was due to an embargo placed by the court of Palma de Mallorca, after they seized half the property as part of Urdangarín’s bail conditions in November 2013.

Judge José Castro agreed to the sale, due to be finalised on March 17, on the condition that one third of the sale price be paid to the court to compensate for the removal of the embargo and cover Urdangarín’s bail.

The home will be sold for 6.95million Euro.
