Princess Haya Awarded With 2015 Hunger Hero Award

Princess Haya bint Al Hussain, the wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and a former WFP Ambassador Against Hunger, has been awarded by the United Nation’s World Food Programme with the 2015 Hunger Hero Award.

Princess Haya, a United Nations Messenger of Peace and the chairwoman of the International Humanitarian City in Dubai, received the award during the World Leaders Dinner at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Princess Haya visted various countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan and Gaza to help fund raising when she was a WFP Ambassador. Princess Haya also started a non-government organisation in Jordan called Tikiyet Um Ali.
