The Princess stopped and spoke to the volunteers manning the over 30 stalls in the Victor Hugo Hall, who were selling a variety of second-hand items. Household items, books, clothing and handmade Christmas decorations were all available for shoppers, with proceeds raised being donated to a charity selected by the Red Cross.

“Persepctives”, a project which aims to help individuals between the ages of 18 and 26 enter into the professional world, is this organisation which will benefit from the 2014 bazaar.

Princess Alexandra was accompanied to the event by Lydie Polfer, the Mayor of Luxembourg City, Rita Krombach-Meyer, the vice-president of the Luxembourg chapter of the Red Cross, and Corine Cahen, the Minister for Family and Immigration. Oh, and Santa Claus.
