Qatar Royals Attend ROTA Charity Event

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and his wife Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim al-Thani attended the Reach Out to Asia (Rota) ceremony which takes place annually.

This years event was held under the theme “Plant a Book…Harvest a Future.” The auction gala dinner raised $21 million which will go to educational projects in poor countries.

Rota Chairperson, Sheikha al-Mayassa bint Hamad al-Thani presented the Rota Lifetime Achievement Award to Prince Alwaleed for his recognition in supporting developmental and charitable work. Prince Alwaleed is member of Qatar Foundation.
