Princess Estelle Performs First Official Engagement
On 17 May, Princess Estelle took part in her first official engagement as Duchess of Östergötland, which was inaugurating “Duchess Estelle’s Fairytale Path” in Tåkern, Östergötland, in Sweden.
At 11:45 am, the little Princess arrived with her parents, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, at Linköping Castle, where they were received by the governor of Östergötland, Elisabeth Nilsson, the county’s director, Kristina Zetterström, and they mayor of Linköping, Ann-Catrine Hjerdt. There was later a photo opportunity in the castle’s courtyard.
At 12.15 pm, the Crown Princely Family inspected Princess Estelle’s salon at the castle, with Mats Frederiksson, the castle architect, and museum director Mark Lindberg. There was also another photo opportunity in the salon.
From 12:30 – 14:00, a lunch was held at the castle, and at 14:45 the inauguration of Princess Estelle’s fairytale path took place, which consisted of a speech by Elisabeth Nilsson, a dance show, a speech by Professor Gullström and another photo opportunity.
After the speeches, the Crown Princely Family were invited to explore Estelle’s new fairytale path. Throughout the day, the little Princess received a rocking swan and a book on fairy tales.Filed under Swedish Royals
