Prince George Meets George the Bilby at Taronga Zoo
Prince George was introduced to a bilby, who was named after him, during a visit with his parents to Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia. On April 20, the little Prince performed his second royal engagement, the first one being a visit to the Plunket Playgroup, which was held at the Government House in New Zealand.
Little Prince George appeared to be very excited to meet George the Bilby, as Kate said that the young Prince tried to grab the animal’s ear as he got down for a closer look. During his visit to the zoo, George was given a car sticker which read ‘wild child on board’, as well as a toy bilby.
George later arrived in Canberra dressed in a comfortable looking blue cardigan, navy shorts and navy shoes, although earlier at the zoo, he was seen wearing a casual blue and white striped top.
At another point in the day, William and Kate also attended a church service as it was Easter Sunday, but baby George was left at home.
