Today March 12, 2014, Crown Prince Haakon attended the opening of the exhibition and global art project “Daddy World Wide” at the International Museum of Children’s Art in Oslo. As a surprise, he was accompanied by his youngest son Prince Sverre Magnus.

They were welcomed in the afternoon by director Angela Goldin, chairman Jacob Lund and museum manager Nina Schjønsby and shown around the exhibition. The exhibition consists of old and new artwork of children and adolescents between 3 and 18 years from over 20 different countries.

They were asked what they associate with fatherhood, and what they think is important in being a dad. Both, Crown Prince Haakon and Prince Sverre Magnus took a close look at the artwork and the young prince also commented on some of the pictures. It was also him who had the honour to cut the red ribbon and thereby officially open the exhibition.

The exhibition “Daddy World Wide” opens to the public today, March 13, 2014.
