200 Years Of The Kingdom Of The Netherlands
The celebrations to mark the 200 years of the Kingdom of The Netherlands started on Friday, November 29th. King Willem-Alexander, in the Nieuwe Kerk, received the first set of three biographies of the Dutch Kings Willem I, Willem II and Willem III.
Later in the evening the Royal Family attended the “Kingdom concert” at the Circustheater in Scheveningen. Usually this concert is held on December 15th, the Kingdom Day but this year was anticipated to mark the beginning of the celebrations of the two hundred years of Kingdom. Present at the event was King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, Princess Beatrix, Princess Margriet and Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven, Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien, Princess Irene, Princess Christina, Prince Maurits and Princess Marilène, Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Princess Anita, Prince Floris and Princess Aimée, Prince Carlos and Princess Annemarie, Princess Margarita and Mr. Tjalling ten Cate, Prince Jaime and Princess Viktoria.
