Baby George To Make Stamp Debut in New Zealand
Prince George of Cambridge is set to make his Kiwi stamp debut on September 11, when a stamp series will go on sale to mark his birth.
The infant will appear on the stamps alongside his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with New Zealand Post selecting four images of the family leaving St Mary’s Hospital on July 23rd to adorn the stamps. There are two stamps of the whole family, and one of George with each of his parents.
“The Queen and the Duke and Duchess have personally okayed the images and we’re glad they agreed with our choice of stunning photos,” a spokesperson for New Zealand Post said.
The stamp series will range between $NZD7.90 and $NZD47.40.
A limited edition 1 oz silver proof coin will also go on sale at the same time to commemorate Prince George’s birth.
Prince George has already appeared on a stamp in Australia, released earlier this month to mark his birth.Filed under British Royals
