Mohammed’s 2-day visit to Moscow
Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was in Moscow on a 2-day visit which came by invitation of Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin.
Sheikh Mohammed met with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. They discussed on expanding base of cooperation to increase the trade exchange in line with growing friendship relations, described by the Russian President as historic. Sheikh Mohammed expressed his pleasure about visiting Moscow.
After the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed toured the Red Square, Russia’s most significant landmark and visited the Gum, one of the world’s largest shopping centres.
On day 2 of the visit, Sheikh Mohammed and his delegation met with Vladimir Putin where they held talks.
Putin said “As we welcome your visit to Moscow, we are quite aware it will contribute in development of friendship and cooperation between our countries and peoples. The trade exchange between the UAE and the Federal Republic of Russia is below the level of relations sought by the leadership of two countries”.
After the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed left Moscow.
