New Title For Qatar’s Ex-Ruler
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has issued a decree giving his father, Qatar’s ex-ruler, Sheikh Hamad, a title.
The official Qatari news agency (QNA) said in a statement, “The decree set the official title of former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani as the Emir father.”
Sheikh Hamad ruled Qatar for 18 years and abdicated on June 24, 2013 in favour of his son.Filed under Qatar Royals
