London – June 4th, 2013
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh and over 20 members of the British Royal Family, attended a service at Westminster Abbey to mark the 60th Anniversary of her Coronation in 1953 on June 4th.
In the glorious June sunshine, the Queen and members of the royal family joined over 2,000 invited guests at the anniversary service at the Abbey.
For the first time since 1953, the Crown of St Edward left the Tower of London and was displayed before the high altar. The service was officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Bishop of London.
The Queen later hosted a private luncheon for members of the Royal Family to mark the anniversary.
