Dubai’s Ruler & Sheikhs Open IDEX 2013

On February 17, 2013 His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, opened the International Defence Exhibition and Conference, IDEX and the naval show, NAVDEX in Abu Dhabi.

The opening started with playing of the UAE National Anthem followed by a performance from the Fijian military veterans troupe and a performance by a Japanese group. After the foreign performance, the UAE’s land, air and naval forces demonstrated a show. After the different performances which was watched by a number of Crown Prince’s of the UAE, Sheikhs and military and civilian guests from around the world, Sheikh Mohammed and Gen. Sheikh Mohammed toured the IDEX pavilions which had the latest military equipment on display.
