King Juan Carlos Undergoes Successful Hip Surgery
King Juan Carlos I of Spain is currently in recovery following a successful operation on his left hip which took place on Friday November 23rd at the San Jose Hospital in Madrid. Queen Sofia and the Prince of Asturias both paid a visit to the King on Friday evening.
A hospital press report stated that the condition of His Majesty was “very positive”, it is believed that the 74 year old monarch will spend 3-4 days in hospital.
On Sunday afternoon, the King received visits from the Prince and Princess of Asturias with their two daughters, Infantas Leonor and Sofia. Later that afternoon the Queen, accompanied by Infanta Elena, Infanta Cristina, Don Inaki Urdangarin and their son Don Juan Urdangarin. The King also received a visit from his two sisters, Infantas Pilar and Margarita, as well as the Spanish Prime Minister.
