King Juan Carlos meets Former US President Bill Clinton
New York – September 23rd, 2012
King Juan Carlos I attended the 2012 Clinton Global Initiative Meeting in New York City on Sunday September 23rd.
Afterwards, the King met with former US President Bill Clinton in a relaxed and jovial atmosphere, with Mr Clinton joking that the King’s seat was ‘not a throne’. The King and Mr Clinton discussed a range of issues including the economic situation in Spain, violence in the Middle East and the upcoming US Presidential Election.
Also attending the 2012 meeting were Prince Albert II of Monaco, Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, Queen Rania of Jordan and Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations. It’s believed that King Juan Carlos will attended a private luncheon with King Abdullah of Jordan on Monday.
