Members of the Spanish Royal Family hosted an audience for the Spanish Olympic Team at the Palacio Real de El Pardo in Madrid earlier today. Present were Their Majesties The King and Queen and Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Asturias.

After meeting the team, the King delivered a speech wishing the team ‘much success’ and the King also expressed his thoughts for Rafael Nadal, who due to injury cannot attend the Games as the Spainish flag bearer, and has been replaced by Spanish basketball player Pau Gasol.

The Spanish Olympic Team later posed for a series of photos with the King, Queen and Prince and Princess.
