Infanta Pilar attends Spanish Olympic Committee Ceremony in Madrid

Her Royal Highness Infanta Pilar of Spain, Duchess of Badajoz attended the Spanish Olympic Committee opening ceremony in Madrid on July 14th.

The elder sister of His Majesty King Juan Carlos I is a member of the Honorary Council of the Spanish Olympic Committee. Present was Spanish judoka champion, Isabel Fern├índez, who won a gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Isabel later posed for a photo’s with the Duchess of Badajoz.

Also at the ceremony was Spanish tennis champion Rafael Nadal, who received the Spanish flag that he will carry as a champion of the Spanish team at the opening ceremony of the London Olympic Games. Nadal was recently chosen as Spain’s Olympic Flag Bearer.
