In conjunction with Alma Books publishing house, The Royal Forums is pleased to announce a competition revolving around Peter Conradi’s latest book release, The Great Survivors – How Monarchy Made It Into the Twenty-First Century.

The Great Survivors offers an “uncompromising portrayal of Europe’s royals”, revealing the “scandals, excesses, conflicts, and interests hidden behind the pomp of the ceremonial garb and the grandeur of official functions” of Europe’s reigning monarchies.

The competition consists of a series of twenty-five questions which all relate to the surviving ten European monarchies. Questions include, “Which Queen was killed in a car crash in Switzerland?” and Which King succeeded to the throne the moment he was born?”

Competition entry is through submission of answers to The Royal Forums Administrators.

Conradi, co-author of The King’s Speech: How One Man Saved the British Monarchy, and Alma Books have provided three copies of The Great Survivors, signed by the author, to The Royal Forums members as prizes for this competition.

Please visit this thread for further details, and the 25 questions which make up the quiz. The quiz will close on Friday June 15th, 2012.
