Count Carl Johan Bernadotte has Died
Count Carl Johan Bernadotte, uncle of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, has passed away at the age of 95.
The news was announced several hours ago by the Swedish Royal Court. The Count passed away yesterday, May 5th.
He is survived by his second wife, Countess Gunilla Bernadotte, and his two adopted children and their families.
The Count was the last living great-grandchild of Queen Victoria, and the last surviving child of King Gustaf VI Adolf and Princess Margaret of Connaught.
