King and Queen of Jordan begin visit to Portugal
King Abdullah II and Queen Rania have arrived in the Portugal capital Lisbon on a two day official visit. King Abdullah and Queen Rania were received by Portuguese President Anibal Cavaco Silva and first lady Maria Cavaco Silva at the Belem Presidential Palace for the welcome ceremony. After the welcome ceremony, King Abdullah and the Portuguese President held talks with King Abdullah saying The two countries wanted Israel and the Palestinians to start negotiating “as soon as possible,” at a press conference after the meeting.

Queen Rania along with the Portuguese first lady Maria Cavaco Silva, visited the Carriage Museum in Lisbon.
