Expectant Crown Princess Out and About in Stockholm
On August 17th,just hours before revealing that she was pregnant with her first child, Crown Princess Victoria attended the ‘International Swede of the Year’ awards ceremony at Stockholm’s Grand Hotel.
Wearing a red, pink and yellow floral shift dress with a pink cardigan, the secretive mother-to-be beamed as she arrived to the event, which saw Peter Wallenberg take home the award.
The following day, August 18th, the Crown Princess was joined by her husbnd, Prince Daniel, for the opening of the 39th Nordic Convention of Lawyers. The couple posed briefly for the media upon their arrival, before heading inside where they were congratulated by Johan Hirschfeldt, the former president of the Swedish Court of Appeal, in his opening speech.
Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel later again spoke with the media and posed for some more pictures. Prince Daniel said that they were “very happy and fortunate, but there’s still half a year left. So we’re taking it day by day.” Victoria also took the opportunity to thank everyone for their well wishes.
Meanwhile, name guessing has already begun – both in the media and by royal watchers. Expressen ran an article yesterday in which writer Fabian Persson speculated that the names ‘Carl’ and ‘Gustaf’ would be highly probable if the baby was a boy, while ‘Lovisa’, ‘Lilian’ and ‘Ingrid’ were his front-runners for a girl.Filed under Swedish Royals
