Queen Rania launches Madrasati “My School” IV

Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan launched on Wednesday the fourth expansion of her initiative, Madrasati.

The Queen toured three of the Mafraq region’s schools, where she participated in the students’ and officials’ conversations through the Madrasati forum about developing the education sector in the area. She also joined the participants lunch banquet, which consisted of the traditional Jordanian dish Mansaf.

According to Petra News Agency, Her Majesty explained that the real value in the initiative lies in the fact that in addition to refurbishment and renovation of the physical environment of schools, it provides personalized and catered extracurricular and educational programs based on the schools’ needs.

Queen Rania launched the first phase of Madrasati in 2008, to renovate and upgrade government schools in Jordan. This latest expansion of Her Majesty’s initiative aims to cover 93 schools in the governorate of Mafraq.
