T-Minus Four Hours – Royal Wedding Today in London

The royal wedding is almost upon us – the time in London is currently just after 07:30. The streets are buzzing, the reporters are hatted, the photographers clicking away. And the bride and groom? No doubt, getting some last minute relaxation before they become husband and wife in front of a global audience of two billion.

In celebration of the wedding, Queen Elizabeth II last night hosted a dinner for the foreign royalties attending the wedding at the Mandarin Oriental in Hyde Park. Amongst the guests were representatives of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg, Greece, Monaco, Serbia and Spain (the Netherlands were pressumably represented by the Prince of Orange and his wife, who are staying at the Mandarin during their London visit). Naturally, the British Royal Family was out in full force – except for Prince William, Catherine Middleton and Prince Harry. The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall popped in for a quick drink before heading back to their family at Clarence House for what was described as a “private family dinner”.

Prince William was seen last night though, he graciously greeted the crowd gathered outside Clarence House to thank them for their well-wishes. He was joined by Prince Harry for the walk, which also included a quick visit to The Mall (the Duchess of Cornwall had visited well-wishers on The Mall earlier in the day).

The bride on the other hand was last seen yesterday afternoon entering the Goring Hotel with her mother, Carole, and sister, Philippa. The trio were smiling broadly and waved to the crowds before they disappeared inside. It has been reported that a large white tent has been erected this morning covering the entrance to the hotel, one assumes this is in an attempt to prevent Miss Middleton’s wedding gown being seen in full before she arrives to Westminster Abbey (ala the Queen Mother).

The wedding of the decade is set to begin in a few short hours, and The Royal Forums will be there the entire way! Our special ‘William and Catherine Wedding Forum‘ is the hottest online place to be, and our Twitter will be giving our readers live updates as new information comes to light throughout the day.
