While all the media is focused on Friday’s upcoming wedding between Prince William and Catherine Middleton, another milestone event in the British Royal Family was held over the weekend. The christening of Queen Elizabeth’s first great-grandchild, Savannah Phillips, took place on Saturday April 23rd.

Peter and Autumn Phillips welcomed their closest family and friends to the Church of the Holy Cross in Avening, Gloucestershire for their four-month-old daughter’s christening. In attendance were the Princess Royal, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Mr Phillip’s father, Captain Mark Phillips, and stepfather, Timothy Laurence, were also there; as were his sister, Zara, and her fiancé. The event took place near the Princess Royal’s Gatcombe Park estate. No word on the infant’s middle names, or her godparents.

Savannah Phillips was born on December 28th, 2010 and is the first child for Peter and Autumn Phillips, who married in 2008. She follows her father in the line of succession, in position number twelve.
