Saudi King attends Sister’s Funeral
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah, and Crown Prince Sultan, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence and Aviation, attended the funeral prayer for Princess Seeta bint Abdul Aziz at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in the capital city of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. After the funeral prayer, King Abdullah received condolences.
Princess Seeta, who passed away at the age of 80, was Saudi’s King Abdullah’s sister who died after a prolonged illness on April 13th. The Princess had supported many charitable societies in the Kingdom, as well as financing research programs for the development of philanthropic activities throughout the country. “Princess Seeta’s death is a big loss,” said Noura bint Abdul Aziz Al-Asheikh, director of social care in the Makkah province as she told Al Watan. “I used to deal with Princess Seeta to sustain many charitable activities,” she said. “Throughout her life Princess Seeta had tried to reach out to the poor wherever they may be,” she went on saying.
