Sheikh Mohammed to attend the opening of Dubai International Poetry Festival
The Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will attend tomorrow the opening of the first edition of the Dubai International Poetry Festival 2009 which is being held between March 4-10. The festivel is being organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation. It promises to bring back to life the ancient Arab tradition of literary expression.
HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, will lead a scintillating evening of poetry reading on March 7, as part of the activities of the Dubai International Poetry Festival 2009.
The festival will also host a an evening in honour of the late Emirati poets.
