Oguz Dulkadir founded the “Academy Weekend” in 2006 to young people (10-16 years) in Amsterdam West to help with their school performance. Youngsters can get homework Saturday and Sunday, training in social skills to follow and participate in sports, games and leisure activities.

Over 500 people now visit the Weekend Academy.
The five offices might help young people through the efforts of 150 volunteers and the assistance of the City of Amsterdam, the (local) industry, the Oranje Fonds and civil society.
