Princess Lalla Meryem met Chairwoman of Bulgarian Parliament
Princess Lalla Meryem, elder sister of King Mohammed VI, received on Sunday in Rabat the Chairwoman of Bulgaria’s National Assembly (parliament), Tsetska Tsacheva, who is on a working visit to Morocco.
Tsacheva expressed satisfaction at the fact of being received in the beginning of her visit by Lalla Meryem which reflects the feelings of respect vis-a-vis the Bulgarian parliament and people. She said that the meeting was an opportunity to discuss the role of Moroccan women in modern society expressing her admiration for the impressive presence of Moroccan women in the political life and for activities performed by Her Royal Highness.
The Chairwoman of the Bulgarian Parliament assured Princess Lalla Meryem that Bulgaria recognizes the accomplishments of Morocco in the political,the economic and social area under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and fully supports this country’s strategic choice of closer ties with the EU.
Morocco and Bulgaria will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties and several events will be held on this occasion.Filed under Moroccan Royals
