Giorgio Napolitano, the President of the Republic of Italy, paid a three-day State Visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg beginning on February 2. The President and his wife, Clio, were received by Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa upon their arrival to Luxembourg, before official photographs were taken at the Grand Ducal Palace.

That evening, the customary gala banquet was held for the guests. Both the Grand Duke and President Napolitano gave speeches, before a toast was made.

The following day, February 3, the Grand Ducal Couple accompanied their guests to the Italian Art Painting Exhibition at the Luxembourg National Museum for History and Art.

The visit concluded on February 4, with an inspection of the Luxembourg guard by the Grand Duke and President Napolitano.

More information on the visit can be found in this thread.
