Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume attends delivery of the Luxembourg American Business Award 2010
HRH Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg visited the United States of America. Accompanied by the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Jeannot Krecké, the Hereditary Grand Duke attended the delivery of the Luxembourg American Business Award 2010 on 20 October 2010.
This year, the award was won by Husky Injection Molding Systems. Husky Injection Molding Systems supplies among others injection molding equipment. To read more about this company, you can visit their official website HERE.
The organizer of the event is the Luxembourg American Chamber of Commerce in the United States. This is not the first time the Hereditary Grand Duke attended this event. The first time the award was delivered was in 1999 to Goodyear. The award was presented by then HRH Hereditary Grand Duke Henri, now Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg. Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume has attended the delivery of the Luxembourg American Business Award since 2002, when DuPont won the award. In 2004, Guardian Industries received the award, in 2006, Avery Dennison Corp received the award, in 2008, Delphi received the award, and now in 2010, the award was won by Husky Injection Molding Systems. The award is presented every two years (with one exception, the second award was delivered in 2002 instead of 2001) and stands for a special relationship between an American company and Luxembourg. In addition, in order to win, a company needs to have played a relatively big role in the national economy.
Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume attended as the Honorary Chairman of Luxembourg for Business, which is an agency to promote the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. More information about Luxembourg for Business can be found on their official website HERE.
