Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Wins Herbert Allen and Molise Award

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, received at the annual ceremony in Canfield, New York the ‘Herbert Allen Molise Prize’.

The award is for the protection of horses, and is an “expression of thanks to his efforts in training horses, rehabilitation, and protection from slaughter.” Sheikh Mohammed spoke with Bloomberg News and told them, “I am honored to have been chosen to receive this award. My people have always had a great and natural affinity with the horse. The fact that horses bring people of all nationalities together in the spirit of competition and friendship will continue to be a source of immense pleasure for me.”

This award is in addition to his efforts and track record as one of the most distinguished personalities that provides attention to equestrian. His Highness was brought up to love riding, learning and upholding their development locally and globally. The UAE leader was chosen as the most influential political figure in British horse racing in 1999 and in July 2008, he was recognised by the British media for his efforts in the development area as well as winning multiple awards in the field.
