Saudi crown prince in New York for tests
Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz is in New York for medical tests according to the Saudi press agency. Prince Sultan, who is in his eighties, has been in Morocco for the past six weeks before heading to New York. In 2004, Prince Sultan had an operation to remove a cancerous growth from his stomach and in April 2008 he visited the Swiss city of Geneva for what were described as routine medical tests.
Prince Sultan who is the King’s half-brother has been the Saudi defence minister for more than 40 years and his son Prince Bandar was Saudi’s ambassador to the US until July 2005.Filed under Saudi Royals
