Another New Year’s Reception At Belgian Court

Yesterday the Belgian royal family gathered once more in the royal palace of Brussels for the 3rd New Years reception of this month. During this reception prominent Belgian authorities and persons were invited.

This reception was attended by King Albert II, Queen Paola, Prince Philippe, Princess Mathilde, Prince Laurent and Princess Claire. Among the guests were Archbisshop André-Joseph Leonard – who recently compared homosexuality to anorexia-, senate chairman Armand De Decker and Flemish Prime Minister Kris Peeters and most other members of Belgiums federal government and the three regional governments.

On the 19th the royal court had its first reception for the ambassadors while two days later a new years reception for the international authorities that live in Brussels was held at the royal palace in Brussels.
