Princess Mabel About the Importance of Good Governance

On Monday princess Mabel of Orange-Nassau attended the opening of the International Model United Nations at the World Convention Center in The Hague, which has as theme ‘Good Governance’.

The princess attended the conference as a member of the international policy institute ‘The Elders’ and she is a patron of the organisation. Princess Mabel also held a speech in which she stressed the importance of good governance, which you can read here.

UN countries sent students from all over the world to The Hague to discuss about the issue. The IMUN is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about civics, current events, effective communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy. In standard Model UN, students take on roles as diplomats and participate in a simulated session of an intergovernmental organization.
