Bahraini King and King Abdullah II Attend Air Show

King Hamad of Bahrain opened the first International Air Show which he said “will benefit civil and military sectors, particularly tourism, media and economy”. The opening was attended by King Abdullah II of Jordan, Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander along with Sheikhs and officials. His Majesty, the Crown Prince and officials toured the show and were briefed on the aircrafts on display.

“In the name of Allah Almighty we open Sakhir base and signal the start of Bahrain’s first ever international air show,” His Majesty said thanking participants and welcoming guests. His Majesty went on saying “The show brings manufacturers and users under the same roof, reflecting Bahrain’s status as a regional centre for transport and trade.”

King Abdullah arrived to Bahrain earlier that day and was welcomed by the Crown Prince Sheikh Salman.
