Christening of Pieter van Vollenhoven
TH Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Princess Anita of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven today christened their youngest child, Pieter Anton Maurits Erik van Vollenhoven, in a private ceremony at the Chapel of Palais Het Loo in Apeldoorn.
The ceremony was performed by the Minister of The Hague, Ds. EC Roos; and was attended by a large constituent of the Dutch Royal Family. The only senior royals not present were HM the Queen, and TRH the Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima with their three children, all three of whom had other commitments. The christening was also the first public appearance of little Eliane van Vollenhoven, the second child of TH Prince Floris and Princess Aimée, as well as her mother’s first appearance since the birth.
Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Princess Anita selected Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven, HH Prince Maurits, Jonkvrouw Anouk van Doorn and Sandra Chollet as godparents of their son.
