Rania on Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women List

  August 21, 2009 at 5:37 pm by

Her Majesty Queen Rania has made Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women list, ranking at number 75 and number one from the Middle East. The list is not about celebrity or popularity but about influence one makes, Forbes said in assembling the list it “looked for women who run countries, big companies or influential nonprofits”.

Forbes noted that Queen Rania for example is “perhaps the most listened-to woman in the Middle East”. Forbes went on describing Queen Rania as “an avid campaigner of human rights and women’s issues”, and the “globe’s most tech-savvy monarch”.
